IBF World Eliminator Matthias Against Valezuela live on Dazn

The last time Subriel Matias fought in his native Puerto Rico, he had a disappointing performance as he suffered the second loss of his professional career. Now 32-year-old Matthias is ready to buy as he plans to win the IBF Super-Lightweight Title Eliminator Bout in front of the crowd of his hometown.

After stopping Petros Anagnan in the ninth round back in January 2022, the 140-pound contender Subriel Matias developed the Boogeyman’s reputation of the division. Matthias has mastered the relentless style of impaired pressure in which he broke his opponents and led to a stop in all his victories.

In February 2023, Subriel Matias stopped Jeremias Ponce in the 5th round and won the world-class IBF Super-Lightweight title. A year later, Matthias will return to Puerto Rico for the 2nd protection of his world title. Unfortunately for Matthias, he lost to Liam Paro through a unanimous decision.

Five months later, Subilel Matthias bounced, posting Tko’s 2nd victory over Roberto Ramirez. Now Matthias’ heavy hitting is mainly one step away from winning the opportunity to become a two -time world champion.

Seeking to play the role of the spoiler is 30-year-old Mexican Gabriel Golaz Valenzuela. On the night of March 1, the victory for the bewilderment Valenzuela would lead to the rupture of Matthias’ home and the occupation of the IBF World Title Challenger.

As early as May 2022, Gabriel Golaz Valezuela faced the then unbeaten 140-pound contender Montana Love. In the initial round of the match, the love of the southern paw contacted the right hook that flooded Valenzuela.

Valenzuela would hit back in the second round when a check left hook landed, which sent love to the canvas. The battle was very competitive, but at the end of the competition for 12 rounds Montana Love won a unanimous victory for a decision, as all three judges scored the match 114-112 in favor of love.

After losing to Montana love, Gabriel Golaz Valenzuela will continue to gather a victory from 5 battle. He is now planned to participate in a career -determination match, which has consequences of the world title.

Subriel Matias (21-2, 21 kos) is a pressure fighter that is considered one-dimensional, but the only thing he does, he does it very well. If Matthias is able to dictate the pace of the duel, using the high security, pressing forward and landing on his shots, then this can become a painful night for Valenzuela.

In order for Valenzuela to withdraw the disorder, he must steal Liam Par’s playing book. Valenzuela has to establish her Jab, control the range, the box from the outside, use a clinch if Matthias reaches too far from the inside and the box well from the hind leg. Valenzuela will need to be patient, disciplined and defensively responsible in 12 rounds.

On Saturday night on March 1, a major battle will be held in Puerto Rico between the beloved city of Subiel Matthias and Gabriel Golaz Valezuela. The loser of this match will have to take a step back and recover as the winner will continue to challenge the IBF Super-Lightweight Richardson Hitchins world champion.
