Ryan Garcia’s left hook: Preparation to fight Romero

Ryan Garcia worked today in the gym with his coach Eddie Reynoso, showing the speed of his hand and the powerful left hook of the reflex bag. Garcia (24-1, 20 COS) prepares for its still declared struggle against Rolando, Romero in May.

Garcia seems to be weighing in the 160s and is still not struggling with shape. His match against Raley must be in the heavyweight category, so he doesn’t have much weight to lose weight to reach 147. Ryan’s left hook looks as powerful as always. Garcia’s setting against Raley will prepare him for a rematch with Devin Hani in October. Turks Alalshi lead this duel. Hani will be on Ryan’s trimming in May with a battle to warm up.

Ryan is no longer with coach Derrick James. He replaced him with Raynoso, but it’s not clear why. He did a good job with James, but he may be better dealing with Reynoso because of the location of training in Southern California. Also, Reynoso trains Canelo Alvarez and will motivate Ryan to be around the superstar.
